Hey YouTube, stop showing me videos I don't want to see

Nothing is more frustrating than opening the YouTube homepage and seeing recommended knitting videos if you prefer to see cute puppies walking around. They have never looked up anything about knitting. Why do you like it on YouTube? Fortunately, YouTube has found a solution that gives you more control over your homepage and your Up Next videos.

As you make some changes to your settings, you take responsibility for your YouTube experience and show you more personalized videos, such as what you actually want to see.

The new update works on Android and iPhone ($ 1,000 at Best Buy) Now and soon on your desktop.

Stop seeing unwanted video suggestions

There are two ways to eliminate these unwanted video suggestions: You can either tell YouTube not to recommend a particular channel, or simply say that you are not interested in watching a particular video.

Option one

Step 1. On your YouTube homepage on your phone, tap the three dots next to the video you do not want to see.
Step 2. Choose Do not recommend the channel,
Step 3. A box will appear saying "We will not recommend any videos from this channel." You can choose More info or Cancel,
Step 4. If you choose More infoYou'll be redirected to the Google support page, which explains how to manage your referrals and search results.

Option two

Step 1. On your YouTube homepage on your phone, tap the three dots next to the video you do not want to see.
Step 2. Choose Not interested,
Step 3. A box with the inscription appears Cancel or Tell us why,
Step 4. If you choose Tell us whyeither tap I have already seen the video or I do not like the video,
Do this for videos and channels you do not like. This will personalize your YouTube account to hopefully hide the videos you do not want to see and train YouTube to stop showing you.
